Well, now, I forgot to do this in December.  I forgot that I had ordered it but found it in the closet where I hide the girls gifts for Christmas.  By the time I found it I thought it was too late for a contest in December, so I will do it now for the new year.  It is called a Shootsac.  I have one and I love it!!  D actually got one for Christmas...she is excited about hers.  If you don't know what a Shootsac is...it is a bag that you can put your camera lenses in.  It can hold extra batteries and extra cards too.  It's a really cool bag!!!  Trust me on this!

The Shootsac can be used by a man or woman.  It comes with a black cover, but I also bought an extra cover just in case a woman wins.  If you aren't a photographer...I hope you win and tell me I can keep it!!  I can always use an extra one.  Maybe you aren't into taking pictures, but I'm sure you know someone that is.  If you win it and you give it to them they will love you for a long time. 

I didn't take pictures of the Shootsac because I wanted to keep it sealed in the plastic that it came in.  Go to the Shootsac site and take a look.  The extra cover is called Splendid.  So pretty!!

I was going to ask what your new year's resolutions were?  Or do you even make them?  But I find that sooo boring because I think 99.9% of resolutions made are not kept.  I have some decisions that I am praying about and seeking God for the answers.  So the question for this contest is...what do you want to happen in 2009?  Do you have any goals...personal , family, career, or dreams for 2009 that you know that you can accomplish?    Maybe it is a closer walk with God, or really focusing on great friendships, or finding special times to spend with your spouse...alone...just you and him.  Is there something in your heart or gut that you want to try but you are just not quiet sure?  Is there one thing that you want to accomplish, but you've not even spoken it out loud to anyone?  I know, I know a lot of questions but I am interested.

I just wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone.  I won't be blogging anytime soon for the next several days.  Time to be with family...not sitting at a computer. 

I want to thank everyone who has stopped by and looked at my blog.  Also for those brave enough to leave comments.  I have met new friends through blogville and new friends always are a good thing to have...along with old ones too.

I hope your Christmas is filled with everything you want it to be.  I pray that if you travel that God will be with you to keep you safe.  I hope that your children will wake up with wonder.  I pray that we all know the reason for the season is JESUS.  Without Him we are nothing.

One more thing...take lots of pictures.  With each picture that you take...good or bad...you are creating memories that can never be taken away.

from Texas.  What a fun trip. I have so many photos to go through but today is filled with washing clothes and all the fun stuff that goes with being gone for 6 days.  Somebody wanna come help me?  Anyone???  HELLO??  Why is it so quiet?

Ok...sometimes I am a bad loser.  I admit it!!  Gosh, that feels good to get that off my chest.

I feel really great about our local races.  Especially our Sheriff's race.  Why?  Of course, I love Bobby and now that he was re-elected Andrea (sassychick) said she will be able to blog more.  I've missed her. 

Now the presidential race....my question is did America elect Obama or Oprah?   

Please don't leave me any comments that are negative.  Because I will delete them.  Just asking a simple question.  I'm just pondering this morning.  Ponder with me...it will be fun.

Oh yeah.....isn't it good to know that God IS in control?  Now that's a joyful thought!!

...keeping it simple...

today.  I've been fighting sinus or allergy problems all week. It is all confusing to me which I have.  I must not be the only one that has the confusion going on because you can buy medicine that says allergy and sinus.  Is it the one and the same?  All I know at this moment is that the medicine is not working.  All it is doing is zonking me out.  So I suffer through the day and take the medicine at night.  I'm sleeping good.  Any old time remedies out there?  Any sympathy from someone?  Anyone?  Please? 

Someone once told me about taking salty water and snorting it up your nose...not interested!!

I'm saying this because with my eyes tearing up and nose running...not from a sappy commercial or a tv show..I'm not really wanting to sit in front of a computer and post.  But I try to post something Monday through Friday and I didn't want to let myself down.  I know, whatever, huh?  Plus Ellen, now a blogger, is coming over today.  Nancy could also put in an appearance.  Especially if she thinks I'm cooking something. 

So I said all this to get to this point.  I woke up Tuesday morning and could tell that the sky was different through the blinds and knew God was up to something good.  I grabbed my camera and went outside to find out that my battery was dead, dead, dead.  So I looked up into the sky and said, "God, please hold it for one second, I will be right back."  He did and I was.  So here are a few pics that I got.  Some are with my fisheye lens.  How great is our God?  I love Him so.

Happy Birthday Audrey Lou

Happy 5th Birthday to Audrey!!  She is such a big girl.  Yesterday Nancy told Audrey that she didn't think they needed to celebrate her birthday because turning 5 wasn't that big of a deal.  Audrey looked at her like she was crazy!!  This is an old picture that I took of Audrey.  Don't really know why I didn't take a new one while she was here yesterday...oh, I know now why I didn't.  It was because I had cupcake batter up to my...uhhh...neck.  I wasn't even in the picture mode.  At the time I wasn't thinking of pictures because Nancy and I were thinking of how to fix all the problems we were having with a little batch of cupcakes.  So, Audrey Lou, I hope your day was great and you enjoy being 5.
