I just love doing maternity shots!  And I mean LOVE them!  I love when a woman is pregnant and she tells me that I can do whatever I want with her.  Take the shots that I come up with.  This is how Trisha was for this shoot.  She was up for anything.  I think if I would have told her to climb a tree and swing from the branch she would have done it!!  Tony, her husband, and Logan, her son, were a little shy so we got those shots right at the beginning of the shoot. 

Trisha I know it's the first time we met and that could have hindered you a lot but it didn't.  Thanks for coming with an open mind and trusting me.  You are so much fun and a great model!  I can't wait to meet the new little man in your life. 

.kinsley.

Lets just talk about sweetness!!  This little baby girl is pure sweetness.  I could hardly wait for this baby to be born because I knew her mommy would be calling me to get some pictures of her.  The day finally arrived and guess what Kinsley did?  She slept all through the shots.  Her mommy, Kelsey, did everything she could to get her to wake up and show me her eyes but Kinsley had other ideas.  She did show me a little sneak peek at the end but just went right back to sleep.

Kelsey, thanks so much for letting me take the pictures of Kinsley.  She is super precious and so cute!  You are a great mommy!!  Love you!

.ellen.

So serious!!  Or is she mysterious?  Or could it be that Ellen is scared to death?  It would be the latter.  Ellen likes to tinker with a camera herself and doesn't so much like to be in front of it.  Like me!  After trying to come up with so many excuses not to come she finally made it and I think she did great! 

Ellen is so much fun.  We have been friends for a couple of years.  She loves to laugh and she does that often!  Ellen has a personality that just makes you want to smile also.  More than smile...she loves to make you giggle...to get so tickled that you might just wet your pants.....too much information, huh?  Anyway....that's Ellen.  She makes life FUN!!  I am blessed to call her my friend! 

Thanks Ellen for trusting me to get your shots!  What a fun afternoon we had sitting in the front field watching the cars go by!  Next time we do this lets have a picnic and maybe invite some of the people to stop and join us.  Nah, I like the idea of you and me having all the fun!  I love you my friend!

.rylie.

Now tell me just how cute he is!!  Too cute for words!!  Rylie is such a hoot!  A wonderful personality, a great smile, and a natural in front of the camera. 

I just love his pictures!  It was a fun Friday when we all got together and shot.  Rylie's mom, his GiGi, and his great-grandparents were on hand to get in the action also.  This is a family that loves with a passion and that love flows down to Rylie. 

Susan....thanks for letting me "shoot" Rylie.  I can't believe that he is turning 3.  What a big boy he is!!  Also, thanks to the Cope family for letting us have our shoot there!  I fell in love with this location.  Just beautiful!

.ethan and lucas.

Meet Ethan and Lucas.  They are two of Daniel's great nephews,(they're mine too but just trying to explain whose side of the family).  Ethan and Lucas belong to Gabe and Stacie.  They have four boys but the older two were at school.  Maybe one day I will go back and get pictures of them all together. 

We took them outside at Gabe and Stacie's and we started playing.  Stacie is the most wonderful mom.  I mean WONDERFUL!!  I don't know what I would do with four boys.  Let me just tell you she is one of the sweetest women I know.  It oozes from her.  I know when I am around her I'm a better person.  I hear that she is only mean, if it's possible, when Florida is playing Tennessee.  She is from Tennessee and Gabe is a big Gator fan.  I haven't seen it with my own eyes but I think this is something worth seeing.  

Back to the boys.  Ethan loves to play and does he play hard.  I was able to catch him sitting down a few times.  Lucas is so special.  He is having some medical problems right now and I would like to take this time to ask you to pray for him.  We, in this family, are believing in a miracle for Lucas.  He is precious!!

How can I describe Jessica?  Let me see....she is super sweet, very pretty, an athlete, and has awesome eyes.  Jessica graduated with my youngest daughter, Jennifer.  She is at college now with a softball scholarship.  She is very good at softball!!

I always ask the person that I'm shooting to give me a serious face.  Jessica had a hard time with that.  She would try and try but it didn't work all the times that I asked.  She loves to smile.....and she is full of laughter.  I had a blast shooting her.

Thanks Jessica for the fun afternoon!!  Can't wait to shoot you again one day!

Meet Hannah.  Isn't she the cutest thing?  She is so funny also.  Has the best little personality!  I fell in love with her.  We met in the big town of Red Bay....never been there...but it's a cute little place.  I want to go back and explore!

I met with Hannah and her mom, Connie.  Connie is too sweet herself!  I felt like I had known her for ages.  She likes to talk like me...so we did a lot of talking while I took pictures of Hannah.

Hannah, it was so good to meet you and your mom.  Hope to see you soon!

.jamie and lathan.

Oh wow!!  My first boyfriend/girlfriend shoot!!  Had no idea how to handle this one!  Just kidding!  Jamie wanted me to get some pictures of her and Lathan happens to be her boyfriend.  Talking about cute...these two are just too cute!  They are precious!!

I have to thank Jamie for reconnecting me with her mom, Kim.  I've known Kim for a long time.  We went to school together.  When we were in middle school every weekend she was at my home or I was at hers.  We had so much fun together growing up.  So the day we had the shoot Kim brought Jamie and we were able to take time to sit and talk.  I've missed her and didn't realize it....now we talk in some way every day.  I thank God for that!!  Anyway...sorry I didn't mean to make it all about me.

Jamie and Lathan are so funny to me.  Young love and first love...do you remember it?  So innocent, so pure, and so simple.  I told Jamie that since they were just boyfriend/girlfriend that I wouldn't take mushy pictures with them..that we were keeping it clean.  She was all for that.  Plus I didn't want to have to answer to her daddy!  So this is what we came up with!

I usually keep my favorite picture for the last but today I decided to put it first!  Isn't she beautiful?  Lathan isn't all that bad either!  His eyes are to die for!  I'm telling you...cuteness all around!

.candace and kevin.

With their first baby on the way, (it's a boy..and his name is Carter), we got together to document this special time.  Candace and Kevin are too sweet and so cute!  I fell in love with them.  I know Candace's mom, Phoebe, and she is just like her mama.  Great personality, great smile, and just so much fun to be around.  Kevin just went with the flow.  Whatever I said he was all for it!  I like that!!  They are going to be such great parents!!

Thanks Candace and Kevin for letting me get the shots of you "3"....can't wait to meet Carter!  I know he is so well loved right now at this moment and he is one blessed baby to have you as parents! 

 

.ashley and isaac.

This wonderful couple is getting married in October at a beautiful spot.  In Mossy Head.  Do you know where that is?  I had no idea but my gosh it is beautiful.  I met Ashley in Defuniak Springs and off we went.  Let me just tell you Ashley is a pretty girl!!  I can only imagine how she will look in her dress!! 

Isaac was a little shy when I first met him.  And quiet!!  I try to remember to ask if there's anything I might want them to do that they wouldn't be willing to do.  Of course, Ashley and Isaac were up for anything except....you will have to wait.  So funny!!

I feel so sorry for some of my clients because I like to talk so much and I know that I talk fast at times.  Anybody that knows me knows this.  Naturally this day wasn't any different.  I love talking and getting to know the couple before they get married.  That way they know me a little better too. 

Ashley and Isaac....thanks so much for being so nice and welcoming.  I can't hardly wait to shoot the wedding.  Isaac, I still want your truck!!  See you in October!

 

Remember the part where I told you about asking them if there was anything they didn't want to do?  They sat down on the dock and were playing in the water.  Splashing their feet, talking, smiling at each other, and just enjoying being together.  I told Isaac to grab her hand and kiss it and he did.

Isaac was loving kissing her hand and then he looked at me and I said, "now kiss her foot!!"  He was so caught off guard that I thought he was going to.  He then came to his senses and told me NO!!  I caught him saying that to me. 

What a fun couple!!
